Happy Independence Day to all Trinibagonians
Happy B-Day Trini and Thank You Eric Williams...

Take a Poem fuh dat!

Roses are red violet are blue
TRINIDADIANS are all shades of brown
thats my race so don't put it down
My TRINIDADIAN pride I will not hide
My TRINIDADIAN race I will not disgrace
My TRINIDADIAN blood flows hot & true
My TRINIDADIAN peeps I will stand by you through thick & thin till we die
Our TRINIDADIAN flag always stands high
I yell this poem louder than the rest
Because everyone knows TRINIDADIANS are the best
TRINIDADIAN pride in my mind
TRINIDADIAN blood is my kind
So step aside and let me through
Because its all about the TRINIDADIAN crew
Life sucks and then you die
But if you are TRINIDADIAN you die with pride!

Trini Observations
On a recent trip to Trinidad after not being home in about 6 years I noticed a couple things I would like to share with everyone.

Trini is still the most beautiful place in de world. And by that I don't mean purely astetics because the old parts of Trinidad like St. James and parts of Woodbrook and Maraval and so on, look worse that it ever did astetically but Trini is the most beautiful place in de world because it still manages to maintain its character despite all the negative influences and occurances. Now there are some huge infrastractural developments in the west and other parts of Trinidad that are quiute impressive but certianly the money being spent on the island does not seem at all to be going towards helping the people. It is clearly private enterprise developing at an alarming rate. I was hoping to see improvement in facilities for the people and I am disappointed that I did not.

Trinibagonians give the island it's beauty. Every stranger I met in Trini made me feel like I never left Trinidad. I was greeted with kind words and pleasantries at every turn. Talking with strangers in the street as though you knew them for many years or that they were a long lost family member. The people are a kind, fun loving and gentle people by nature. Trinis should be proud of themselves for having maintained thier beauty against all odds.

I am as always proud to say I am a Trini and hope that we maintain and demonstrate our good character for the world to see and be envious of everyday.
